Services overview

Pick the one that soundsmost like your car.

Four ways a car leaves a property, one number to ring. Whether it is a runner you have outgrown, a shell that has been sinking into the lawn since 2011, or an insurance write-off still sitting at the panel shop, the process is identical: describe it, get a price, keep the cash, keep the towing fee.

How it works

Four steps, andmost of it is the phone call.

No inspection appointment, no waiting on a callback, no photos to upload. The longest part of the whole thing is deciding which day suits you.

  1. 01

    Ring the quote line

Rego if you have it, otherwise make, model, rough year, what condition it is in and your suburb. That is the whole conversation.

    7AM – 7PM · 7 DAYS
  2. 02

    Get a firm number

We price it on the spot against the current parts and steel market. No inspection first, no callback in a few days, no 'we will see when we get there'.

    UNDER 5 MINUTES
  3. 03

    Pick your time

Same day if you ring before about 2pm, otherwise next morning. Settlement date, end of lease or a Saturday — book the slot that suits and we hold it.

    SAME DAY OR BOOKED
  4. 04

    Cash at the kerb

Driver checks the car, you sign the transfer, you count the cash. Then it goes on the tray. Take your plates off and lodge the disposal notice with Service SA.

FAQ

The questions we getten times a day.

Still stuck on something? The quote line is answered by the people who drive the trucks, not a call centre.

Do I need registration papers to sell the car?
No. We buy unregistered vehicles every day. What we do need is proof you own it and photo ID at pickup — a rego renewal notice, an old registration certificate, or the transfer paperwork from when you bought it. If you have none of those, ring the quote line and we will tell you what will work.
What if the car will not start or has no keys?
That is most of what we collect. Flat battery, seized engine, no key, flat tyres, sunk into the lawn — the tilt tray winches it on regardless. Tell us on the phone if it cannot roll or steer so the driver brings the right gear.
Is there really no towing fee?
None. The tow, the driver's time, the fuel and the paperwork are our cost. The price quoted on the phone is the amount handed to you at the kerb, with nothing taken out for the truck.
How quickly can you pick it up?
Most Adelaide metro pickups happen same day if you ring before about 2pm, and next morning otherwise. We run 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, including weekends. If you need a specific day — a settlement, a hard rubbish deadline, an end of lease — say so and we will book it in.
Which suburbs do you cover?
The whole Adelaide metro area and the surrounds: Elizabeth, Salisbury, Gawler and Golden Grove in the north, Modbury, Prospect and Norwood through the middle, Port Adelaide and Glenelg on the coast, Marion and Noarlunga in the south, and out to Mount Barker in the hills. Further afield, ring and ask.
How and when do I get paid?
Cash, in hand, at the kerb, before the car goes on the truck. The driver checks the vehicle matches what you described, you sign the transfer, you count the money. No bank transfer that arrives some time next week.
What do I do with the number plates?
Take them off before the truck arrives and return them to Service SA, then lodge the notice of disposal so the vehicle stops being your responsibility. Do not leave the plates on the car. Our driver will remind you and can point you at the right form.
Do you take vans, utes, 4WDs and small trucks?
Yes — sedans, wagons, hatches, utes, vans, 4WDs, people movers and light commercials. Anything heavier than a light truck, ring first so we can send the right equipment.
Will the price change when the driver arrives?
Not if the car is what you described. The quote is based on the make, model, year, condition and whether major parts like the engine, gearbox or catalytic converter are still in it. If something significant was left out of the description, the driver will talk it through with you before anything is loaded.
Where does the car actually end up?
At a licensed, EPA-compliant depot. Fuel, oil, coolant and brake fluid are drained, the battery and tyres come off, usable parts are shelved and the shell is baled for steel — up to 98% of the vehicle is recycled. Ask any car removal company you call for their licence details, ours included.
